Many of our teens and college students need an extra long twin mattress - here is the plan for that tall person! The ultimate room expander - you can sleep and study in the space your bed takes in the room. It works well in a room with standard 8-foot ceilings with enough room for an adult to sit under the bed and work at a desk!
Loft Bed Plans showing how to build a Loft Bed or Bunk Bed that is extra-long and extra-tall. This loft or bunk bed measures 75 inches tall, by 42" wide, by 88" long with 58 inches clearance below. This Tall Loft Bed can easily accommodate an adult seated at a desk below and adult weight on the bed. Contains Additional instructions to convert to an Extra Long Tall Bunk Bed. It works well in a room with 8 foot ceilings. It uses widely available easy to obtain materials and a XL single (twin) size mattress. Extra long mattresses are easy to obtain and are commonly used in dormitories and institutions as well as many homes. You can build this bed from our plan even if you have little or no woodworking experience using a circular saw, an electric drill, a power sander and a few hand tools. By purchasing our bunk bed plans or loft bed plans you can build your own Loft Bed or Loft Beds saving hundreds of dollars and still have a good quality solid sturdy bed like those built by Bunk Beds Unlimited. The hardware kit includes all bolts, screws needed to complete the loft or bunk bed. Additional hardware such as wooden drawer handles and heavy-duty carpet casters for the trundle bed is available by ordering the bed and drawers hardware kit.
