Loft Bed Plans
Instructions for how to build a Loft Bed twin-sized standard height. This Loft Bed Plan measures 65 inches in height, by 42" wide, by 81" long (outside dimensions). The height from floor to the bottom of the bed measures 48 inches. We also sell a tall loft bed plan that would have 58" of clearance beneath. The space inside (underneath) the bed is 75" in length and 42" in depth. It makes a great storage and play area. It uses widely available easy to obtain materials and a standard single size mattress. You can build it even if you have little or no woodworking experience using a circular saw, an electric drill, a power sander and a few hand tools. By purchasing our plan set you can build your own Loft Bed saving hundreds of dollars and still have a good quality solid sturdy bed like those built by Bunk Beds Unlimited. The hardware kit includes all bolts, screws needed to complete the loft or bunk bed. Additional hardware such as wooden drawer handles and heavy-duty carpet casters for the storage drawers is available by ordering the bed and drawers hardware kit. (*Please note that lumber is not included.*) Our hardware kits are higher quality, much more convenient and usually a better price than if you purchase the items at your local home center.
