Trundle bed plans to build a twin bed with a twin-size trundle bed that fits beneath it and a hardware kit (with free shipping). The trundle bed drawer has higher sides to hide the lower mattress when not in use. This 20+ page comprehensive plan explains how to select lumber, cut, sand, drill, apply finish and assemble a beautiful trundle bed set that is as solid and sturdy as those built by Bunk Beds Unlimited. It comes with a store-ready quick shopping list so that you can head right out and purchase the materials you need to get started. This plan makes use of widely available easy to obtain off-the-shelf lumber and materials. You can build it even if you have little or no woodworking experience using a circular saw, an electric drill, a power sander and a few hand tools. By purchasing our plan set you can build your own Bunk Bed saving hundreds of dollars. It is a great first woodworking project or family project.
This plan covers construction of the twin and trundle bed set. This bed measures 34 inches tall, by 42" wide (84" with trundle open), by 88" long and holds two standard twin mattresses. The finished bed will stand up to daily use for many years and continue to look nice. Many of the beds we have manufactured have been in daily use in hotels, camps, shelters and other institutions for 15 years or more, supporting adult weight and still look great.
The hardware kit has all hardware needed to complete the twin bed and a trundle bed, including all screws and bronze plated furniture lags that give the bed a professional appearance, also wooden drawer handles and heavy duty carpet casters. Our hardware kits are higher quality and a better price than comparable hardware from hardware stores and home centers. (*Please note that the lumber is not included in the hardware kit.*)
Price includes shipping on hardware kits to all 50 United States (others write for details). Great value!

My Son and I had a lot of fun building this bed. The plans were complete and easy to follow. The hardware kit is well worth the money. i priced it out and at best i could get it for close to what they sell it for but I didn't have to chase the stuff down. The Bed turned out great and i even used my cnc router to engrave his favorite football team's emblem into the headboard. He loves it and it looks great in his room !!

Plans were complete, hardware top value, easy to make...and my two year old grandson absolutely loves it! He even slept in it the first night prior to the mattress arriving (his mom put pillows and comforters in to "pad" it some. He had the biggest smile on his face as he said "night-night"!!
